Jay Z pulled all 12 of his studio albums off of Spotify this week. The move is an attempt to bring subscribers over to the rapper’s own music streaming service, Tidal. Jay Z launched Tidal in 2015 and the service reached 3 million subscribers as of last year. In the past, Jay Z has been critical of music services like Spotify for not properly paying artists for their songs. As of Saturday, the only Jay Z songs that remain on Spotify are collaborations with artists such as R. Kelly, Linkin Park, and Kanye West.
